The Institute decides to publish two (2) yearly peer reviewed journals title "Bangladesh Journal of Parliamentary Affairs" and "Security Script"

The Representative and Parliamentary Affairs (RPA) wing of BIDD is the first center of its kind in Bangladesh dedicated to the study and research on good governance, parliamentary activity and democracy related issues. The Institute decides to publish a yearly peer reviewed journal title "Bangladesh Journal of Parliamentary Affairs". It strives especially to promote a new level of intellectual cooperation and make a bridge between the people representatives and academic, professional communities and activists at all level committed to democratization.
 
The journal will cover all relevant issues impinging on democracy and governance matrix of the world in general, Asia in particular and Bangladesh in specific.
It will publish original articles in major subfields of political science, especially comparative politics, electoral system, party politics, legislative affairs, budget analysis, committee system, executive legislature and judiciary relations, parliamentary development, governance, gender and parliament, e-parliament, rule of law, accountability and transparency, parliament constituency relations, role of parliament in development, role of representatives in local and national body, public policy, democratic movement and democratization issues.

 

With an open access publication model of this journal, all interested readers around the world can freely access articles online at www.b-idd.org or http://www.bd-idd.wix.com/bidd without subscription or collect a print copy with subscription.
 
This journal has a distinguished international editorial board with extensive academic qualifications, ensuring that the journal maintains high scientific standards with a broad international coverage. For further quality improvement, we are also soliciting scholars to expand the editorial board. If you are interested, please send your resume along with your areas of interest to info@b-idd.org.
 
Potential contributors can send their manuscript between 4000 to 7000 words not published or submitted elsewhere, may be submitted to the Editor of the journal via
editor@b-idd.org or info.bidd@gmail.com before 15th January by 12.00pm for upcoming issue of every consecutive year. Subject experts will review manuscripts. Authors are informed whether submissions have been accepted for publication, require revision prior to possible publication, or are rejected. Contributions must be sent in electronic format in MS Word.
 
Complete details of the author(s), including title, preferred name and surname, designation, organisation, postal address, telephone and cellular phone numbers must be included in a separate page/file. Both files should contain a short abstract of the article. The
Harvard system of referencing (Author-Date style) Style should be followed in the write-up placing notes. Once accepted for publication, it will undergo language copy editing, typesetting, and reference validation in order to provide the highest publication quality possible.

BIDD Journal
Security Script

The Security Studies wing (SSW) of Bangladesh Institute of Democracy and Development (BIDD) is the first center of its kind in Bangladesh dedicated to the study, research and analysis the socio-political, natural and civil rights related issue on security point of view. The Institute decides to publish a semiannual peer reviewed journal title "Security Scripts”. The journal will cover all relevant issues impinging on politics, security and development matrix of the world in general, Asia in particular and Bangladesh in specific. The journal covers the following issues to meet the objective of the institute.

 

  • Traditional and non-traditional security issues particularly-health security, food security, economic security, personal security, community security, women and child security, political security, Cyber security, environmental security and extremism and terrorism issues;

  • Democracy, election, political violence, state building, political movement, civil rights, political instability and internal- external displacement, migration and human security issues;

  • Natural and non-natural resource management; gender-poverty and security nexus, climate impact and cohesive sustainable development issues on security dymension;

Manuscripts will be accepted for review on the understanding that their content is original and that the manuscript has not been accepted for publication or review elsewhere. Manuscripts that fall within the aims and objective, potential contributors must be sent electronically to editor@b-idd.org OR info.bidd@gmail.com by 30 January for winter issue and 30 July for summer issue. They should not exceed 10,000 words and should be sent in two files (preferably MS Word or PDF files; Times new roman, front size 12). One file should be sent ready for double blind peer review: author shall have removed all self-references and all characteristic that may identify him or her (name, affiliation, title of conference if paper presented in a conference). The other file should contain the manuscript with all necessary information- complete details of the author(s), including title, preferred name and surname, designation, organization, postal address, telephone and cellular phone numbers must be included.

 

Both files should contain a short abstract of the article. Once received, the articles will be sent to relevant outside experts and scholars for a double anonymous peer review. All new items are published on a space available basis and decisions made on publication are the discretion of the editors.
